Renée and Tomasz’s wedding day was a short one (for me). They’re not centre of attention type of people and wanted to keep their wedding coverage simple. I love smaller weddings, and especially on Thanksgiving weekend (a great excuse to have a bunch of family and friends eat and drink together).
We started our day arriving at Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish where a heartfelt ceremony culminated with Renée’s smile beaming from the signing table as her ladies wept in their pew.
They’d hired the Kingston Trolly to take us on our tour of the city for an hour or so to stop and photograph in various spots but the weather is always questionable in early October so we stopped at Lake Ontario Park and used the trees to shade us from the wind and gentle rain. Being adventurous we hit the lakeside and stood amongst the waves for them to share some snuggles.
Moving on to downtown Kingston we wandered into the market as the day was winding down for vendors and took a few with city hall as the background and then we headed back to cocktail hour at the Four Points Sheraton for a family style dinner in the main ballroom. I didn’t stay long enough to partake but the Coffee Way Donut ‘cake’ looked amazing (duh – best donuts in the city!) and the dance party was going to be off the hook awesome with The Stares as their entertainment.
They had a cornhole game set up to bypass clinking of glasses to make them kiss …all in all a really fun 4hrs was spent with them on their big day.
Here’s a smattering of my favorite photos from the day:
